Are all the fake skeletons, rubber bats, and carved pumpkins to much? Well, I have thought the same thing and so have others. In fact, the inspiration for this post is from a blog by Laurel Homes at laurelberninteriors.com. Here is the link to here blog post https://laurelberninteriors.com/2014/09/29/problem-halloween-decor/ . After reading it, I can sympathize with her on orange being too much and all the tacky decorations barf worthy.
However, I love fall and everything about it: apple cider, leaves changing color, pumpkin muffins, warm sweaters, and trick-or-treating with the kids. I think for me, that’s where I draw inspiration from when thinking about decorating for Halloween. I have been gathering some of these ideas that hopefully gets my Halloween decorating started in the right direction.

In the end, Halloween is not about being sophisticated and being a proper adult. It’s about finding your inner child and having a little fun, and I think we all could use a little bit of fun this year.
