We finally had time to put the tree up this past week. I added an all white glittery pom-pom garland and a ton of ball ornaments in a multitude of colors along with my families favorites. I just wanted it to be a fun and happy tree this year.
I love penguins and have many in my Christmas decorations. Here is a vignette I put on the back of the sofa table. I used a silver-plated serving tray with a glass insert to hold the penguin family which are surrounded by tin trees and colorful ornaments.
My fireplace was a lot of work this year, but well worth all the time. When I am decorating, I am able to block out the world and just focus on creating something that makes me happy.
As you can see, I only have two presents under the tree. This means I have a lot of gift wrapping to do in the next couple of days. Hmmm, I wonder if I can talk a very large elf (a.k.a. my husband) into tackling this task for me. Maybe a little bribery with Christmas cookies will do the trick!
Thanks for stopping by my Home On Elderwood this holiday season. Please come again soon!
